Volunteer

Most of what Mother's Grace does is carried by people who are not on staff.

We are a small paid team by design, so most of what a family in crisis receives passes through a volunteer's hands somewhere along the way: the person who drops off a meal, staffs a table at the gala, or visits with a patient receiving treatment to provide connection and support.

If you have a few hours, a specific skill, or both, there is very likely a place for it here.

Or email volunteer@mothers-grace.org directly.

Ways people help

None of it requires special training, just follow-through. Meal trains are the one area with a set schedule; everything else is matched to a family's need or the calendar as it comes up.

Ongoing

Meal trains

Coordinated meals for a family in crisis, signed up for in advance. This is the one area with a regular schedule rather than a call when a need comes up.

As needed

Hospital and patient visits

Time spent with a patient receiving treatment, for connection and company rather than a task. Scheduled around a specific family, as the need comes up.

Monthly, in season

Committee meetings

Our standing volunteer group meets monthly during the active season to plan and coordinate the work above.

Seasonal

Events

The Christmas celebration, the spring brunch, and other events through the year, each with its own setup and day-of needs.

How it works

No interview, no formal screening. We just need to know who you are before you show up.
