Mother’s Grace provides emergency aid to mothers and children in the middle of an acute crisis. This page is for the people who see that crisis first. Ten seconds here tells you whether we’re the right call.
Before you begin
Two things decide almost everything.
She can’t nominate herself.
Someone else has to. A nurse, a social worker, a teacher, a neighbor, anyone close enough to see what’s happening.

Something happened, and it happened recently.
Roughly within the last year. Our help is built for the months right after a sudden crisis, while a household is still trying to stay standing.

Nominate a motherHow a nomination works.
The mother at the center of it might be the patient, or she might be the one holding everything together while someone she loves is. Grandmothers raising grandchildren count. Mother’s Grace considers each nomination individually and decides, at its sole discretion, whether it fits the mission.
We’d rather ask a follow-up question than have a family go without.
You don’t need a polished case file. A short, honest description is enough, and we’ll follow up directly if we need more.
We pay the bill, not the family. Rent or a mortgage payment, a utility bill, a medical bill, counseling, meals, a ride to treatment: paid straight to the landlord, the utility, or the provider. It never goes out as cash. It’s one-time help, meant to be a bridge across the worst stretch.
Referring from outside Arizona?
Out-of-state nominations need to come from a health system employee in the mother’s community, or from an Arizona-based nominator connected to Mother’s Grace.
Assistance for out-of-state families is more narrowly focused: typically rent, car, or utility payments.

We review
We learn her story and weigh it against the mission. If we need to confirm something, we reach out to her directly.
We respond
Either way, you hear back. When the answer is yes, we move fast.

Her name and contact
The best way and time to reach her. We speak with her, not only with you.
Who you are to her
Your name, your role, and how you know the family. If a nurse or social worker is involved in her care, tell us who.
What happened, and what’s coming due
A brief, honest description of the crisis, roughly when it began, and the specific bill we’d be paying, with its due date.
Documentation of the medical event
Vetting needs something that confirms it: a diagnosis note, a visit summary, a discharge paper. Please don’t attach anything here. Once the nomination is under review we’ll request it from her directly, with her permission.
